If you are interested in all or part of the collection, make an appointment to view (989.695.5527) or submit a bid to Kelly Baker (bakerk@freelandschools.net). The highest bid(s) and /or those removing the largest amount of the collection (as determined by the District), submitted by Thursday, December 20, 2018 @ 12:00 pm will the receive the collection.




Freeland was allocated $49, 950 as one of 72 districts funded through the Teacher & Leader Instruction Support Competitive Grant Program. 23 staff members are receiving training in Cognitive Coaching and will be revising our Mentor Program for new staff through this grant.

Freeland Roboforce advances to the State Finals. Congratulations and good luck to Makenna Geurts, Mia Hileman, and Lauren Messing.

Freeland Formulators & Freeland Roboforce competed Saturday against 36 teams at the "Ready, Set, Lego" robotics competition. The Formulators received a Program Award trophy for robot design, demonstration, & model progress, while Roboforce is advancing to States. Way to go!




Thanks to a $40,000 grant from the Frankenmuth Credit Union Foundation for Our Communities Board, an electronic sign has been constructed in front of Freeland High School/Middle School. We are very thankful and super excited to have this great communication tool.


Congratulations to all Talent Show participants! Special recognition goes to our winners, 1st place Kyla Maxey, 2nd Lance Haenlein, and 3rd Noah Mehl for their musical performances.





Last night, the Freeland Board of Education approved a calendar for the 2019-20 school year (see below) and start dates of September 1, 2020 & August 31, 2021 for the 20-21 and 21-22 school years. Freeland will start school prior to Labor Day beginning in 2020.

Learning Center Families ~ 3rd Street (south of the LC) will be closed today, Wednesday, November 21. Dismissal will occur following the plan that was communicated last Friday.
