The work being done on Freeland School property, just south of the Learning Center, is a Lions Club project aimed at providing more parking for the Walleye Festival. We are proud to be a partner of the Lions Club as they continue to work to better the Freeland community.

The Girls District Basketball game between Carrollton & John Glenn, scheduled for tonight (2/27), has been rescheduled for 6:00 tomorrow (2/28/23). If you already purchased tickets, the same tickets will be valid for tomorrow's game.


Falcon Bowling represented Freeland well at Regionals:
The girls team finished 6th, with Zoey Markey advancing to the State Finals with a 3rd place finish.
The boys team finished 14th, with Derik Prast advancing to the State finals with an 8th place finish.

Young 5s/Kindergarten Registration Night will be held at the Freeland Learning Center tonight, Thursday, Feb. 23rd, between 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.


Freeland recognized our Senior Poms at halftime of Tuesday's Varsity Boys Basketball game. Thank you to senior athletes: Hannah Abbe, Maci Trainor, Kenzie Schultz, Lydia Stachowiak, and Madi McLaughlin. .


Freeland High School Math teacher Nickie Clark and K-6 STEM teacher Jessi Koehler we recognized on Tuesday night as STEM Stars, dedicated educators who are exceptional contributors to the STEM education of students in the Great Lakes Bay Region, by SVSU and the MiSTEM Network.


Freeland Schools will be closed on Thursday, February 23, 2023. A decision will be made regarding Freeland's Kindergarten Registration night by noon on Thursday.


5th grade PALSS received instruction about what it's like to be blind and the tools that help them. They learned about braille, from Mrs. Lambert, mobility from Mrs. Rikilynn, and a special guest speaker, Riley, who showed them how she turns in work and how her cell phone helps her access what she needs to learn.




The Freeland Community School District will be closed on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. All evening events will be cancelled.

Last Friday, Freeland Basketball honored their Seniors. Tonight our teams travel to Frankenmuth for a pair of big TVC 8 games. Good luck to Nate Niederquell, Jacob Kowalski, Cat Mueller, Haven Vasold, Megan Hemgesberg, Lauren Lafond, and all our Falcons!

Despite our Falcon Wrestlers valiantly falling in Regional by 2 points to Portland, FHS Junior Ty Fournier earned his 100 win. Though the Individual Championships are still to come, congratulations to our Wrestlers on a great team season.


Freeland's Varsity Cheer Team finished their regular season as Champions of the Meridian Invitational. The team will compete at MHSAA Districts on Saturday. Go Falcons!
