Freeland X-C had a great Saturday w/ 2 Regional Champions (Kiera Hansen & Braydon Honsinger), the girls team finishing 2nd & qualifying for the State Finals, the boys team finishing 4th, and Jacob Wurtzel additionally qualifying for the State Finals.

The Freeland Soccer team travels to Atwood Stadium (Flint) tomorrow (Tues., 10/22) for a 5:00 Regional Semi-Final game against Macomb Lutheran North. Go Falcons!
Freeland's Golf Team traveled to GVSU for the Division III State Finals last Friday & Saturday. The team finished 13th overall, recording a combined season best record of 381 on Day 2. Great job Falcons!
Freeland Soccer District Champs
Did you know that each child must have a transportation form on file with the Transportation Department in order to ride the bus? By law, we are only allowed to transport your children based on what is indicated on the transportation form (home or alternate site). Only in emergencies will the buses be allowed to transport children to another location AND only if the Transportation Department has been notified and approved the request.
If you need to make any changes to your child’s transportation schedule, please follow the link below and complete a new form. Completed forms can be emailed to Karri Dill at dillk@freelandschools.net or dropped off at any school office.

This week the Freeland Special Services Department is highlighting Mrs. Suzanne Ferguson. Mrs. Ferguson has been teaching for 32 years and has worked in Freeland for 27 of those years. She teaches at both the Learning Center and the Elementary School. She has endorsements in Cognitive Impairments, Learning Disabilities, and Early Childhood Education. She also has a special interest in Autism. Mrs. Ferguson has been START trained and has served as a START Coach for six years. She has assisted in starting the PALSS program and has served on the START/PALSS teams since they were started. She enjoys working with kids and helping them achieve their goals. Mrs. Ferguson believes that Freeland is a wonderful community to work in. The community is very supportive of the students and the staff. Together we make a difference.

At their monthly meeting on Wed. (10/16) @ 6:00 pm, the Freeland Board of Education will examine the results of community focus panels as they work to make a decision as to the direction they are going with a possible bond and election date. Definitely more information to come.
FHS Juniors Taylor Armbruster & Matthew Loeffler completed their Eagle Scout projects this fall: scraping/painting the soccer dugouts, adding new hardware, leveling the benches, & cementing the base. A great project that will benefit Freeland Soccer for years to come.
What do teachers do in their free time? Teach one another! Today our tech leaders are supporting teachers in all things tech integration!
