This week, Freeland Learning Center is highlighting one of our lunchroom and recess paraprofessionals, Mrs. Kara Reinke. Mrs. Reinke has been working in that role for the past five years. Mrs. Reinke is also a parent in the district with a daughter in sixth grade. Mrs. Reinke is very positive and patient and always ready to help out the students in the lunchroom or outside at recess. When asked what she finds most rewarding about her position, Mrs. Reinke said, “Helping the kids and getting to see them make friends. I love hearing their stories and laughter in the lunchroom.” She also shared that what she enjoys most about working in the Freeland Community School District is meeting all of the students and their great families. Thank you Mrs. Reinke for your dedication to the students and families of the Freeland Learning Center and for all you do for the Freeland Community School District.

Freeland Schools is excited to highlight FHS English Teacher, Ms. Kyla Krygier. This is her tenth year at Freeland High School. She finds the most rewarding part of working with students is the relationships she builds and has been able to keep throughout the years. She stated, "Academics are important, applying to college/work experience is important, GPA matters, SAT's matter, but none of this matters if I don't really know the students I am working with." Kyla is really proud of FCSD because we are a community that cares about one another. You see this support at games, tournaments, social events, etc. as people get together to rally around a common cause/goal. This unity and pride sets Freeland apart from other districts.
