Congratulations to the Freeland Girls Track & Field team! They finished 2nd Academic All State in D2 with a 3.93 GPA. Caitlyn Mieske, Lydia Klopf, Erin Collier, Whitney Farrell, Mara Longenecker, & Kirsten Spegel were indvidually recognized as Academic All-State.

Work continues to progress at the Freeland Learning Center Cafeteria.

The Freeland Bass Fishing Team had a great showing at the State Championship, w/ 60 boats in the Michigan Bass Nation High School Division our results were: 5th Brayden Ruckman & Nathan Helmreich - 34.67 lbs 8th Jack Sprague & Cole Jimkoski - 30.46 lbs 20th Dalton Polega & Luke East - 23.03 lbs Juniors results: 2nd Andon Harwood & Cayden Geurts Great work!

On Saturday, August 7, is the 2nd Annual Bailee Mantei Foundation 3v3 Soccer Tournament. One of the best ways to honor the memory of Bailee, who was lost in a car accident November 3, 2018, is to play the game she loved. Family, friends, and the soccer community from all over Mid-Michigan are banding together to celebrate her life with a fun day of soccer, music, and food at the Midland Soccer Complex. Proceeds will go to the Foundation with scholarships being given out annually. Registration is open now with a $125 entry fee. Any questions? The inside of the Learning Center cafeteria is looking good, as physical improvements are made to the walls and floor of the facility. We can't wait to share the pictures when it is done.

The outside of the Freeland Learning Center is looking good - with some new panels being installed in the cafeteria and some fresh paint.

Stop in at the FMS/FHS today for lunch, from 11:30-12:30. Pizza day and a lot of fresh fruit and veggies. A sub sandwich is also an option. Lunch is FREE to ANYONE 18 and under. See you soon!

We are excited for the progress taking place at the FMS/FHS. Today they are preparing the café serving lines for beautiful new tile. This is all made possible through funds generated through meal participation. Our Nutrition Services team continues to provide meals everyday.

Feeling creative? STEM@SVSU is partnering with MiSTEM East Central Michigan in a Summer STEM Video Contest! The contest is open to all K-12 students and teachers in the Great Lakes Bay Region. It’s easy - just submit your information in this Google Form and send your video to STEM@svsu.edu between now and July 16. If you are under 18 years of age, be sure to have your parent/guardian fill out the form with you. At least one video will be highlighted each week throughout the summer. In your video, be sure to introduce yourself (first name only and grade level or school name). If your video is chosen, you will win an awesome STEM kit, delivered to your home! Work is progressing nicely at the FMS/FHS cafe and kitchen. We are thankful for our Nutrition Services team as they continue to work hard to provide meals to students. This generates the funding needed to be able to reinvest in our schools.
