The 1st tournament of the year went well for the FHS Robotics team, as they made it to the semi-finals, placed 8th out of 35 teams, and won the Entrepreneurship Award. Their next action is at Dow High School, Mar 24-26.

Freeland had eight (8) wrestlers competing at the State Finals this weekend at Ford Field. Congratulations to Noah Graham (6th ), Malachi Hill (6th), and Joseph Klopf (7th) on placing at the State Meet. A great season for our wrestling team!
Congratulations to Freeland's two (2) bowlers that competed at the Division 3 State Finals this weekend. Senior Jackson Vlassis placed 31st (1080) and Junior Zoey Markey placed 38th (971). Nice work!
On Saturday, Freeland HS Bass Fishing Team members Nathan Helmreich & Brayden Ruckman placed 2nd (13 lb 14 oz) in the nation at the Bass Masters High School Classic in South Carolina, the biggest stage in the sport. An awesome accomplishment for our anglers!

Freeland Girls Basketball opened Districts with a 53-34 win over Essexville Garber on Monday. They face Arthur Hill at 7:00 pm on Wednesday in the District Semi-Finals.

The FNV Griffins season ended Saturday with a 5-1 loss to Traverse City Central. FNV shared a Conference Championship and reached the Regional Finals in 20-21. We would like to recognize Freeland's Hockey seniors: Alex Deeter, Adam Deeter, Brody Wheatley, & Connor Dvorak.
With the Bowling Season wrapping up, the Freeland boys place 6th and the girls placed 7th at Team Regionals. Jackson Vlassis was Regional Individual Champion (1125) and Zoey Markey finished 9th (1007), as both advance to the State Finals.
Due to changes in CDC requirements, beginning Monday, it is not mandatory for individuals in the Freeland Schools to wear masks on buses. Those that wish to continue to mask are welcome to do so.
