The Freeland Road bridge project is a safety project to remove the sidewalk on the north side to facilitate a bike path. With this project, lighting will be added to the bridge and along Freeland Road. While the bridge is closed, the contractor will also address the broken railing on the northwest quadrant, repair damaged guardrail, storm sewer improvements, and address some concrete patches on the bridge surface.
The closure is scheduled to start June 13 and is anticipated to last 4 to 6 weeks. Freeland Schools thanks Tittabawassee Township for making certain that work would not begin until after the school year.
Please refer to the Saginaw County Road Commission Facebook page for updates regarding this project. https://www.facebook.com/scrcroads
