This week the Special Services Department is highlighting our school social worker, Rebecca Stewart. This is Ms. Stewart’s first year working in Freeland, although she has worked for the Saginaw ISD for nine years. Ms. Steward believes that the most rewarding part of her job is being able to work with students who are going through a difficult time and teaching them skills they need to be able to help themselves. When you can see that child make even the slightest amount of progress...it is extremely rewarding. Ms. Stewart enjoys working for the Freeland Community School District. The most rewarding part is being able to support students with a staff where she feels respected and a part of a family. It's a small and close community and she love how people care and look out for each other.
We are glad to have you here, Ms. Stewart! Thanks for all you do!
