This week the Special Services Department would like to highlight Amanda Annear. She has worked as a paraprofessional at the Learning Center for the last two years. To the job, she brings an understanding of behaviors, an enthusiasm for learning, and patience. She is a team player who believes in working with her colleagues to ensure successful learning for all students. For Ms. Annear, the most rewarding part of the job is watching the kids grow and learn, as well as building relationships with staff and students. Some of her favorite moments are when she sees that students have learned something they were struggling to grasp. Those “ah-ha” moments give you the feeling that you are making a positive impact. Ms. Annear believes that the best part of working for the Freeland Community School District is the people. From staff, to students, to parents, we truly have a community of kind, caring, and compassionate people.
Thank you, Ms. Annear, for all you do for the students of the Freeland Community School District. We wish you the best of luck in pursuing your teaching degree.
