Yesterday FMS had our 1st Semester SOAR Assembly where we celebrated all the good things. Honor Roll, Merit Roll, Students with no tardies and no discipline, and students who showed significant growth on their NWEA tests. We also did our SOAR drawing for students who have collected SOAR slips for their good behavior at school as well as participation in our lunch time activities. We would like to take a moment to thank the group of businesses who have helped to make this possible for our students. Whether it be by financial contribution or by giving us rewards to give to our students, we couldn't do it without them! More pictures to follow next week of the actual assembly. It was a tough one yesterday at FMS lunch as no one got all 8 out of 8 brain teasers correct. This team was the first to get 7 out of 8 right to earn SOAR slips and this shout out on social media. #GoFalcons

Last Friday we were back to our Name that Tune game at FMS and it was a tough one. This crew knew the most and earned SOAR slips and this shout out on social media! We will be having our next SOAR drawing this coming Friday at our 1st Semester SOAR Assembly. #GoFalcons

This week Mr. Kade’s 7th grade science classes are experimenting with different cooling methods, learning how to design models, and developing a testing protocol. #GoFalcons

We would like to recognize our FMS January Students of the Month. The staff is choosing 4 8th graders and 4 7th graders each month that display the S.O.A.R. expectations in our building. Each Student of the Month will receive 5 S.O.A.R. tickets for upcoming drawings along with Saginaw Spirit tickets sponsored by Century 21 Signature Realty - Andrew Hauck. We had our last trivia Wednesday for the semester yesterday and these ladies knew their Disney! For their victory they earned SOAR slips and this shout out on social media. #GoFalcons

Yesterday was lab day in Ms. Heckman's science classes. Science 7 simulated heatstroke and different methods to cool a person while Science 8 collected data on the heating and cooling rates of land vs water. #GoFalcons

It is a new year and we are back at our Brain Teaser Monday. This group got all 8 correct yesterday to earn SOAR slips for our next drawing which will be held on January 31. #GoFalcons

We had our second round of Name That Tune on Friday and these ladies were impressive getting all 7 songs correct as well as 6 out of 7 artists. They earned SOAR slips and this shout out on social media for their efforts! #GoFalcons

FMS finished the Holiday Spirit Week with Christmas Character Day and the staff definitely stepped up their game on this one. We had a great time getting in the holiday spirit this week and we hope all of our students have a great two weeks off! #GoFalcons
