The High School SLS group sponsored a food drive this month to donate to the St. Agnes food pantry with the support of Hidden Harvest. Thank you to all of our students and community members who gave so generously to support those in need.
In order to answer the essential question, "How do authors use symbolism as a social mouthpiece?" English 9 students learned about the concept of a microcosm, or mini version of the world and created one of Maycomb, AL (the setting of To Kill A Mockingbird). Their microcosm had to include symbols from the novel, and they have to write an essay on how that symbol represents an aspect of our world.

FHS students Katie Lazarz and Julia Palomarez are serving as Freeland Chamber of Commerce Interns this year. Their objective is to market the Scholarship Dinner in February. Dinner tickets can be purchased at the Powley Street concert Friday night, or at NHS Inductions on Tuesday.

FHS students Zachary Hupfer, Scott Nellett and Layne Hilton designed their first projects using CAD software to program a mill and create these CNC keychains. These students are enrolled in Mr. Byrne's Manufacturing II course. Great work!
