Our FHS Family and Consumer Science teacher, Mrs. Keefer, delivered shirts to student porches from her Pre School Years class. Since our students are unable to work with their preschool partners this spring, this was a nice surprise!

Congratulations to our Honors English 9 students who won our Saginaw Optimist Club Oratorical contest this year! The topic was "Just Imagine A World Without Boundaries." Miles Amersey took first place, Ainsley Miller took second place, and Pritesh Ravi took third place. All three won certificates and cash prizes. Both Miles and Ainsley will advance to the area competition, with the chance to go onto the district level and vie for a $2,500 scholarship. Please wish them the best of luck as they prepare for the next level!

Congratulations to seniors Jacquline Willsie and Jack Kukulis for winning the Society of Plastics Engineers essay contest. Jacquline won first place for her essay "Beautiful Plastic The Art of Reuse" and a $500 scholarship. Jack won second place with his essay "How Plastics Will Help Humankind Conquer Space" and a $300 scholarship!
