Today, Ms. Belanger’s 6th grade Social Studies class traveled (via Skype) to Vietnam, New Delhi, India, Pennsylvania, Washington, & Idaho. Students used geographic questions to figure out where the other class was located. They had a blast!

Fifth Grade Social Studies students had the opportunity to research explorers and then participate in a grade level museum walk. During the walk they observed and reflected on each other's hard work.

Students in Mrs. Dobson’s room are conducting investigations to learn about properties of matter in science.

Mrs. Trainor's Class is so fortunate to have Mrs. Della Wilder visit them each week. Mrs. Wilder teaches them about Michigan authors to go along with their Social Studies curriculum and to match current events. So far, the students have heard a wonderful applesauce story in which they got to sample homemade applesauce. They have also read the log of Christopher Columbus, read a football story for Homecoming, and had a Patricia Palacco Halloween story read to them. Mrs. Wilder is a librarian for Saginaw Public libraries. Interestingly enough she started the library in this building when it opened and she was just out of college. Mrs. Trainor's class looks forward to her visits!
