Mr. Kazcor's 7th Grade Health classes have been studying the human skeleton and they created notecard skeletons to practice for their test next week on Thursday.

After a week of prep, Ms. Ruffertshofer's 8th Grade ELA classes finally had their day in court for the Mock Trial of "The Tell Tale Heart." We are proud of the way our students questioned and defended their cases. It was a creative, fun way to explore this story.

Today 4 members of our FMS Student Leadership classes (Acelyn Woodard (7th), Hannah Fonger (8th), Julia Kowalski (7th), Tesla Provoast (8th)) along with Mrs. Ruffertshofer participated in the Virtual MASSP Student Mental Health Summit. We are excited to see what they bring back to implement in our building!

We upped our game this week and not one FMS team was able to get all 8 out of 8 brain teasers right. This group was the first to get close with 7 out of 8 to earn the win which included SOAR slips and this shout out on social media.

Our FMS Pom Team (missing a few 6th grade members) was decked out at school today and ready for their performance tonight which will be at halftime of the JV Football game. Come check out the game and our girls!

Mr. Kade's 7th grade science students grew crystals in the lab this week to replicate how crystallization forms rocks when volcanoes erupt.

This group won one of the closest lunch trivia games we have had at FMS. It went right down to the last question as they edged out 2nd place by a score of 5779 to 5566 to earn SOAR slips and this shout out on social media.

Today was the first day of the prosecution and defense teams building their cases for the "Tell Tale Heart" Mock Trial in Ms. Ruffertshofer's 8th Grade ELA classes. We look forward to see who builds the strongest argument moving ahead!

We have more winners from our 7th Hour FMS Team Sports Class with Ms. Mehnert. This group won our first Soccer Championship this past week. Love seeing the friendly competition in our classes!

FMS was able to welcome students who are new to Freeland this year at a luncheon on Friday. Thank you to Mr. Fattal and our Student Leadership crew for hosting this event. The students enjoyed pizza and visited with us so that we could get to know them.

Each Student of the Month will receive 5 S.O.A.R. tickets for upcoming drawings along with some other prizes. The next SOAR drawing will be at the Homecoming Pep Assembly in October.
