
This week, FHS highlights Mrs. Hoffmann. This is her 17th year teaching Spanish. She most enjoys the creativity and excitement of teaching. She said, "The students are all so unique, and teaching them Spanish is a fun experience each day! I enjoy seeing them understand and begin using a new language." Mrs. Hoffmann also enjoys working with our staff and community and feels "Freeland is a special place to come to work each day."


FHS students in Mrs. Schriber's class started the year with a monarch caterpillar in their room. It stayed in the chrysalis for 13 days. Today it become a butterfly and the class released it.

FHS students had lunch from a food truck today. Students were able to enjoy their lunch period outdoors and get ready for Clash for a Cure tonight. Thanks to Cruisin' Kitchen for a great lunch service!




FHS will celebrate Homecoming on October 4th. If you would like to be in the Homecoming Parade at 5:30 that evening, please don't forget to turn in your parade application by the deadline on Friday, September 27th. Applications are available in all district offices.

If you missed Pancakes with the Players last night, you missed a fun time. We hope to see you at our Clash for a Cure events on Friday night!

Today, FHS students in Spanish 1 class used a movement break between activities. They listened to a Spanish song and coordinated their movements with the music video.

High School students should get ready for a great day on September 20th! That day is Clash for a Cure. New this year is an outdoor lunch opportunity for high school students only. We are bringing in a food truck and tables for students who want to eat outside.


Interested in participating in the Homecoming Parade? The parade is Friday, October 4th and all parade applications must be returned by Friday, 9/27. Applications can be picked up in all school offices.

We are proud of our FHS students who participated in the Michigan State University Research Program this summer. Jessica Messing developed Programming, Britnee Niedzielski studied Hydrogels, and Liam Pan studied Energy. They presented their research to the public last night.

Congratulations to our 2018-19 Varsity Volleyball Team! They received the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award. Great job in the classroom ladies!
