FHS students in Mrs. Peters' Geometry class have been busy today. They used finger paints to explore what happens to an object when it is reflected over the X axis and reflected over the Y axis. They also explored which part of each coordinate stays the same and which part changes to the opposite sign.

FHS is pleased to highlight Mrs. Neal this week. She has taught in the district for 16 years. When asked what she found most rewarding about the position, she said " Connecting and interacting with my students has to be number one. Education is not a one way street and my students teach me so much about life as well. I am so grateful to have an opportunity to be a part of their educational journey. I love working with students and helping them make meaningful connections to their learning. A huge part of my life at FHS is also serving as Student Council Advisor. I am so lucky to get the chance to have a positive impact on these young leaders and help them hone their leadership skills." Mrs. Neal loves being a part of the Freeland community and is amazed by how hard our staff works to provide learning that is engaging and meaningful. Thank you Mrs. Neal for the positive impact you make at FHS!

FHS students in Mrs. Neal's Physics classes are completing the annual Eggsplosive Safety Project coinciding with students learning about Newton’s Laws and leading into a unit on momentum. Students focus on the real life scenarios of crash worthiness as well as the importance of seatbelts and understanding how an airbag works through building a device to support an egg in a crash. So perfect for many of our sophomores who are new drivers.
