Students in Mrs. St. Charles classroom were teachers for each other in writing! They read about the pros and cons of using coal in preparation for writing opinion speeches. The students read text with specific information, and then were able to teach the class answers to questions citing specific evidence from their reading. Way to go 4th graders!

After reading the book, Wild Robot, in class, fifth graders celebrated by taking a field trip to watch the movie production at the theater. Students have made a variety of connections to reading, technology, and science concepts from the classroom as well as the importance of teamwork and friendship. What a fun field trip to enrich the love of reading!

After learning about Johnny Appleseed and his importance to Michigan's apple crop, and also learning about the state flower, the Apple Blossom, Mrs. Trainor's 3rd graders, made homemade applesauce. The apples were picked straight from Mrs. Wilder's trees. The students thought it was DELICIOUS!
